I am a Civil Engineer with a background in Water Resources, Hydraulics, and Hydrology. Although originally from the USA, I grew up in West Africa and have spent the past 20 years in Switzerland. A mother of 2 daughters (and 1 son), I am passionate about encouraging young women to go into STEM fields.

My current professional activities at ETH Zurich focus on Sustainable Water Resources Management and capacity building. I coordinate a Master of Advanced Studies aimed primarily at international students, as well the swissuniversities funded projects "Science Action in Schools for Sustainable Development" and "Network for Water and Life" in West Africa. I especially enjoy engaging with youth and women in science.

I established the 500WS Zurich Pod to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to young women considering careers in STEM. The Pod also serves as a platform to raise awareness about the many challenges faced by women in male dominated fields, particularly in academia. It is my dream that young women will be able to follow their dreams, wherever these may take them, without being bound by outdated societal norms.
