I am a Civil Engineer with a background in Water Resources, Hydraulics, and Hydrology. Although originally from the USA, I grew up in West Africa and have spent the past 24 years in Switzerland. A mother of 2 daughters (and 1 son), I am passionate about encouraging young women to go into STEM fields.

I currently work as a senior program manager at the Leopold Bachmann Foundation where I am responsible of our education and vocational training portfolios. Prior to this, I worked at the ETH Zurich Institute of Environmental Engineering where my activities included running a Master of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Water Resources and coordinating the projects "Science Action in Schools for Sustainable Development and the "Network for Water and Life in West Africa". I especially enjoy engaging with youth and women in science.

I established the 500WS Zurich Pod to provide guidance, encouragement, and support to young women considering careers in STEM. The Pod also serves as a platform to raise awareness about the many challenges faced by women in male dominated fields, particularly in academia. It is my dream that young women will be able to follow their dreams, wherever these may take them, without being bound by outdated societal norms.
